Honeycomb Alpha or Alpha XPC: which one do you need?

The two yokes look alike and list the same footprint. The difference is the platform: Honeycomb lists the original Alpha for PC and Mac, and the XPC for PC, Mac, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Short answer
Buy the XPC if the yoke might ever go on an Xbox. On PC or Mac only, the two have the same layout and the same listed size. Honeycomb’s Xbox Hub works only with the XPC. Jump to both listings.
What is different between the two?
The two listings are easy to confuse. This table uses what Honeycomb publishes on each product page.

Honeycomb’s pages give no Xbox route for the original Alpha.
What the XPC adds on Xbox
On Xbox, Honeycomb’s setup starts at the XPC. The Xbox Hub has a USB-C output for the XPC and two USB-A inputs, and Honeycomb says it works only with the Alpha XPC and an Xbox console. The Bravo and Charlie reach a console through that Hub. If you plan to add a Bravo, our Bravo setup guide has the connection order. Which one to buy
- Xbox now or later: the XPC. The original Alpha has no Xbox listing.
- PC or Mac only: either. The controls and listed size match, so it comes down to whether you might add a console.
Amazon’s title for the XPC listing is “Honeycomb Aeronautical Alpha Flight Controls”, with no XPC in it. Match its platform list to Honeycomb’s XPC page before you order.
