Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo or Turtle Beach VelocityOne: which yoke should I buy for MSFS?
Buy Honeycomb Alpha with Bravo when you want a yoke and throttle you can place separately, swap lever modules for twin GA or airliner layouts, and upgrade over time on a PC-first desk. Buy Turtle Beach VelocityOne Yoke when you want Microsoft’s listed Xbox-and-PC yoke path with the throttle hardware in the same ecosystem, not a stick or HOTAS.
On Xbox, model names decide the answer. Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls Pro and Alpha XPC are the yokes Microsoft marks for console use; the original Alpha is PC-only. Bravo on Xbox needs Alpha XPC plus the Honeycomb Xbox Hub, per Honeycomb’s Xbox compatibility guidance. Confirm the retail box against Microsoft’s peripheral list before you order.
Honeycomb Alpha + Bravo
Choose this when: you want a wide yoke with a switch panel, a modular Bravo quadrant beside it, and room to reconfigure levers for different aircraft.
- Separate yoke and throttle units on the desk
- Alpha lists 180° total yoke rotation and Hall-effect sensors on Honeycomb’s product pages
- Bravo accepts interchangeable lever caps for GA twin, jet, and other layouts
- PC path starts with Alpha Flight Controls or Alpha XPC for the Xbox route
Turtle Beach VelocityOne Yoke
Choose this when: you want one manufacturer’s integrated yoke and quadrant for PC or Xbox without stacking Honeycomb modules.
- Listed as VelocityOne Yoke for PC and Xbox in Microsoft’s compatibility table
- Turtle Beach’s VelocityOne Flight bundles yoke, modular quadrant, trim wheel, and integrated rudder controls for Xbox Series X|S and PC
- Do not confuse it with the VelocityOne Flightstick, Flightdeck, or HOTAS lines
Desk and platform fit
Honeycomb publishes Alpha body dimensions of 10.75 inches wide by 16.14 inches deep, excluding the mounting plate and clamp. Plan space for the Bravo quadrant beside the yoke, your hands, and cable routing. VelocityOne Flight ships as a clamped desk unit with yoke and quadrant together; measure your desk depth before choosing either path.
If you still fly fighters or helicopters each week, read yoke vs HOTAS before locking in a yoke purchase. A yoke is the wrong default when stick aircraft dominate your hours.

What we checked
We checked these sources on September 30, 2026: Microsoft’s Flight Simulator peripheral compatibility list; Honeycomb’s Alpha Flight Controls, Bravo Throttle Quadrant, and Xbox compatibility pages; and Turtle Beach’s VelocityOne Flight page. This page does not quote price, stock, or seller terms. We publish no Amazon ASIN here because this site has not locked a verified listing for these yokes.
Buy Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo when you want separate modules, lever swaps, and a desk you can grow on PC (and on Xbox only with the correct Alpha edition and Hub path).
Buy the VelocityOne Yoke ecosystem when you want Microsoft’s listed integrated yoke and quadrant for PC or Xbox in one purchase flow.
