What Thrustmaster says
The two Xbox articles use the same sentence: “We recommend that you avoid using a USB hub, a USB extension, or any other type of connection extension.” The TFRP article says the same about its PC adapter.
| Device | Connect it to | Source |
|---|---|---|
| TCA Sidestick X Airbus | A USB port on the Xbox, with its own cable | Article 1767 |
| TCA Quadrant Airbus | A USB-A port on the Sidestick X | Article 1768 |
| TFRP through the T.RJ12 USB adapter | A USB port on a PC, directly | Article 1776 |
The TFRP article is about the PC adapter. On Xbox, TFRP plug into the stick, yoke or quadrant, so no extra USB run is involved.
The hub that is part of the plan
Honeycomb’s Xbox setup uses its own Xbox Hub: Bravo or Charlie plug into the Hub, the Hub into the Alpha XPC, and the XPC into the Xbox. That is a documented path, not a general USB hub. The Xbox lookup has the rest.
If the console is across the room
The makers I checked do not publish a tested long-cable option for Xbox flight controls. Sticks usually arrive with a short cable, so the practical fixes are to place the console nearer the desk, or the desk nearer the console. If you try an extension anyway and the stick drops out or disappears from Controls, remove it before changing profiles. This guide has no cable links because no source backs one.
If a device is not showing
Follow the pedals and quadrant checklist.
