Which flight controls work with MSFS 2024 on PS5?
MSFS Setup · Methodology · Checked 2026-10-13
MSFS 2024 came to PS5 on December 8, 2025. Thrustmaster documents a PS5 path for the T.Flight Hotas 4, the Hotas 5 MSFS Edition, the Hotas Neo, the TCA Sky Yoke (PS5/PC) and TFRP pedals. An Xbox edition of the same hardware will not run on PS5.
What works on PS5
| Product | What it is | What the sources say |
|---|---|---|
| T.Flight Hotas 4 | Stick with a detachable throttle | Microsoft’s PS5 FAQ confirmed it as fully supported at launch. It has an RJ12 port for TFRP pedals. |
| T.Flight Hotas 5 MSFS Special Edition | Stick with a detachable throttle | Thrustmaster lists MSFS on PS5 in both Red (PS5) and Blue (PS4) mode. The August 2026 update changed its profiles, so read the Sim Update 6 note. |
| T.Flight Hotas Neo | Stick with a detachable throttle, Ace Combat 8 edition | Thrustmaster’s October 2026 article says MSFS 2024 on PS5 recognizes it. Legacy mode (blue LED) uses the Hotas 4 profile. PS5 mode (red LED) needs a mapping you build. Its manual gives it an RJ12 port for TFRP. |
| TCA Sky Yoke (PS5/PC) | Yoke with built-in throttle, trim and rudder controls | Thrustmaster calls it the first PS5-compatible yoke. MSFS 2024 recognizes it automatically with preset controls. |
| T.Flight Rudder Pedals (TFRP) | Pedals with toe brakes | The RJ12 port is on the Hotas 4, and the Hotas 5 and Hotas Neo manuals name one too. The Sky Yoke page lists TFRP and does not name the port. Microsoft’s guide marks TFRP for PC, Xbox and PlayStation. |
| DualSense and DualSense Edge | Gamepad | Both are supported, according to Microsoft’s PS5 FAQ. |
What does not work
- Xbox editions. The Hotas One, Hotas Neo X, TCA Yoke Boeing Edition, TCA Sidestick X and the Xbox/PC Sky Yoke are Xbox products. Thrustmaster sells a separate PlayStation version where one exists. One owner put it bluntly in a forum thread: the Xbox version is not PS5 compatible, which is why there are two versions.
- PC-only sticks and yokes. Microsoft’s guide marks the Logitech X56, X52 and Flight Yoke and the Thrustmaster T.16000M as PC. Nothing from Microsoft or the makers gives them a PS5 path. Forum threads ask about adapters, and none I read reports one working.
- Turtle Beach and Honeycomb. Microsoft’s PS5 FAQ and Thrustmaster’s lists name neither. A December 2025 thread has players asking when other brands will arrive.

Which one to buy
Stick and throttle with an MSFS profile: the Hotas 4 and Hotas 5. Hotas 4 vs Hotas 5 MSFS Edition goes through the differences. The Hotas Neo is a third stick, sold as an Ace Combat 8 edition. Use it in Legacy mode if you want the Hotas 4 profile.
Yoke: the Sky Yoke (PS5/PC) is the only option. It is built around general aviation and airliner flying, and it carries its own throttle and rudder controls.
Pedals: TFRP plug into the stick or yoke, not into the console. Check the connection path before you order. The Thrustmaster edition guide explains which twin of each product goes with which platform.
