Steps from Thrustmaster
Thrustmaster’s Xbox fix sheet for the Hotas One says the default profile has the elevator and throttle axes configured the wrong way round. It suggests a USB mouse on the Xbox to make the menus easier.
- In the MSFS 2024 main screen, open Settings, then Controls.
- On the left, select the T.Flight Hotas One and its default profile. Filter by Assigned.
- In the search field under the aircraft name, type ELEVATOR AXIS.
- Press B on the gamepad to move to the left column, select your device again, then press A on the gear icon at the end of the command line.
- Turn on Set inverted axis.
- If this is the first change you have made to the device, MSFS creates a new profile from the default. Give it a name.
- Repeat steps 3 to 5 for the throttle axis.
- With both axes marked inverted, go back, then choose Save and Back.
What owners reported
The problem shows up in threads from November 2024, the month MSFS 2024 launched on Xbox. Owners there say the gear-icon invert option fixed the stick and throttle for airplanes. One owner could not find the invert button on Xbox. Another says settings were lost until they saved to a new profile, which matches the profile step above.
One owner says helicopter bindings froze the game when changed. Thrustmaster’s sheet does not mention helicopters, and nobody in the thread reports a fix.
The sheet is undated. If a later update fixed the default profile, you will see correct axes and have nothing to change.
After the axes are fixed
If you have not added pedals, the Hotas One has an RJ12 port for TFRP. Pedals show up as extra axes on the stick, not as a separate device. The compatibility checker covers other models.
